ABOUT MEMBERS OWNED SOCIAL ENTERPRISE and SERVICES

Moses Logo

Members Own Social Enterprise and Services (MOSES) is a Social Enterprise that aims to provide employment for persons with psychiatric disabilities. It is also partnership driven and managed by members and staff of Singapore Anglican Community Services (SACS).

Individuals with psychiatric disabilities often face difficulties in getting a job in our fast paced and demanding society. The major hurdles that hinder them in securing a job include the employers’ unwillingness to employ people with psychiatric disabilities and their frequent medical appointments. Thus, MOSES was specially created as a means for clients to showcase their own products and talents to the community. In addition, MOSES also operates a sheltered workshop which provides production jobs and processes with the aim to improve the competencies or skills of its members. Participants will gain valuable experience at the workshop, which is also helpful in their rehabilitation.

At MOSES, you can find innovative and original hand-made products that are designed by the clients, staff and volunteers. Profits from the sale of these products are provided as allowances to the clients who produced them. By patronizing MOSES, you are actually contributing to a good cause by helping the clients of SACS.
