We may not spend much time thinking about how much we pay for a meal. But $10 a month can translate into $120 a year. With 100 people donating $10 a month, this could mean $12,000 donation a year which can help us develop our services.

As a Voluntary Welfare Organisation (VWO), the services of Singapore Anglican Community Services (SACS) are made possible by support from well-wishers. While our work is partially subsidised by government grants and subsidies, we rely heavily on donations to sustain and expand our services.

How does your donation help? A large percentage of our psychiatric services’ clients are from low income backgrounds. Hence 70% of their fees are waived. Your donation will therefore help subsidise our clients’ fees. As demand for our services increases, we need to seek financial resources to start new services and enhance existing ones.

SACS is an Institute of a Public Character (IPC) Status, effective till 30/06/2019. As an IPC, most donations to SACS and its services will enjoy tax deduction accordingly to the criteria stated by the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS). For more information on donations and tax deductions, please refer to the IRAS website.

Please note that all SACS donors (inclusive of donors who are supporting the community services of SACS) will be acknowledged in the SACS annual report. All donors will receive SACS’s half-yearly group newsletter and annual appeals, unless they opt out.
